We gathered with Exposure and L’Oréal brand, NYX Professional Make Up, for a full-service production for their campaign, Proudly Pro You.
In partnership with UK Black Pride and Stonewall, PROUDLY PRO-YOU was created to drive concrete change and reflect NYX Professional Make Up’s ongoing commitment to support, represent and celebrate the talents of LGBTQIA+ people of colour.
Recognising the importance of using voices from within the community to communicate this narrative, Gather engaged a Directing and Photographic duo who hailed from both the Black and LGBTQIA+ communities with experience in beauty and celebrity content creation.
Alongside the release of the brand manifesto this campaign amplified marginalised voices of LGBTQIA+ people of colour in front of and behind the lens.
Our inclusive crew sourcing ensured that heads-of-departments across the crew were also representative of the LGBTQIA+ community and over 80% of the 50+ crew were from an underrepresented group in our industry. As with all Gather shoots, this fostered an environment of mutual respect and collaboration on set and delivered the best studio atmosphere for our cast, Tayce, Anne-Marie, Yasmin Finney, and Carmen Tran to perform.
